It all starts with high-quality hot-rolled steel strip, which we pickle, hot-dip galvanize, slit and, if required, cold-roll. The result of these processes is a starting material that can be further processed by our customers in a variety of ways.
Wuppermann supplies flat products to customers throughout Europe and from numerous sectors via a well-established production and sales network. In particular, companies from the automotive, construction, furniture, profile, silo and solar industries value our high-quality strip steel.
In the field of hot-dip galvanized strip steel, Wuppermann offers the highest corrosion protection with the lowest CO2 emissions.
Our galvanized steel strip is produced using the so-called heat-to-coat process and is therefore lower in emissions than steel from conventional cold strip galvanizing. Wuppermann already produces flat products with the lowest CO2 emissions. Our goal is to achieve CO2-neutral production by 2025. At the same time, it allows us to apply the highest zinc coatings and thus ensure the best corrosion protection for the steel. Refining the steel with zinc is the most reliable and effective among the various options for corrosion protection. The most industrially significant method is hot-dip galvanizing. With our strip galvanizing lines at our locations in Austria, the Netherlands and Hungary, we comprehensively cover the requirements for holistic corrosion protection.
