Wuppermann focusses on core business

Leverkusen / Frankfurt on the Main, 15 November 2017 – The Wuppermann Group, a medium-sized family business with 145 years of experience in steel processing, has signed the sales contract for five of its companies on 9 November 2017. The three companies devoted entirely to sheet metal processing are in Thalgau in Austria, Holýšov in the Czech Republic, and Herbolzheim, Germany. Additionally included in the sale are the Wuppermann Intralogistik GmbH, also located in Herbolzheim, Germany, and the Wuppermann Rohrtechnik GmbH in Burgbernheim, Germany, where not only sheet metal products but also tubes are produced. More than 600 workers are employed at the sites. The buyer is the German Lafayette Mittelstand Capital, a privately backed investment firm, industry agnostic and with a focus on mid-sized companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. MORE

Wuppermann Hungary celebrates its opening

Győr-Gönyű, Hungary / Leverkusen, Germany, 25 September 2017 – Wuppermann Group was celebrating the official opening of the new production site for flat products in the Hungarian port of Győr-Gönyű. With an investment volume of more than 110 million Euros, the family-owned steel company has built four production and logistics halls with a total area of around 33,000 m² on the 100,000 m² plot since being granted planning permission in May 2015. The heart of the facility is the ultra-modern combined pickling and hot-galvanising plant with a processing capacity of 500,000 tonnes of steel per year. Wuppermann participates at ISDM at University of Leoben

Judenburg / Leoben (Austria), 15 May 2017 – Wuppermann Engineering GmbH looks back on a successful participation as exhibitor and sponsor of the 24th International Students' Day of Metallurgy (ISDM) at Montanuniversity of Leoben (Austria, 11 to 13 May 2017). In this context, Wuppermann has presented itself students of metallurgy and materials sciences as a company and as a potential employer. Successful participation of Wuppermann Intralogistik at i + e 2017

Herbolzheim / Freiburg, 6 February 2017 – Wuppermann Intralogistik GmbH presented innovations and further developments of its product and service portfolio at the 18th industrial fair i + e 2017 in Freiburg (1 to 3 February 2017). This included the new lifter with microcontroller, which is operated in full automatic mode by two light sensors and can be controlled by an app via Bluetooth connection.MORE
