Change in the Board of Directors at steel processor Wuppermann
The Wuppermann Group announces a change in its management: Ulrike Claus will join the Executive Board of Wuppermann AG on 1 September 2026.
Dr Arndt Laßmann will leave the Group on 31 July 2026 at his own request and retire.
As CFO, Ms Claus will take over all departments and areas of responsibility previously managed by Dr Laßmann, including Controlling, Finance and Accounting, as well as IT, Legal and Human Resources.
Ulrike Claus began her professional career in 2001 at Thyssenkrupp AG in Essen and was appointed Managing Director within the group in 2016. Three years later, the business graduate took over the commercial management of ThyssenKrupp Business Services GmbH in Essen. After almost 20 years in the corporate sector, she moved into the SME sector. There, she initially served as CFO of apt Holding GmbH in Monheim am Rhein, and most recently as Managing Director and CFO of GEDORE Holding GmbH in Remscheid.
Oliver Rechtsprecher, Spokesman of the Executive Board of Wuppermann AG, explains: “We are delighted to have gained an experienced leader in Ulrike Claus for the Wuppermann Group. At the same time, we bid farewell to Dr Arndt Laßmann, who has played a key role in shaping Wuppermann for more than ten years as a member of the Executive Board and with whom I have enjoyed working in a spirit of mutual trust.”
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Wuppermann Group, Dr C. L. Theodor Wuppermann, adds: “Dr Arndt Laßmann has steered our family business through the economic challenges of the past ten years with great skill. I myself had the privilege of leading the Wuppermann Group as CEO alongside Dr Laßmann for three years, and I hold him in high regard both professionally and personally. With him as Chief Financial Officer, we have successfully implemented major investments such as the establishment of the production facility in Hungary and, more recently, the new tube plant in Altmünster. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to express my sincere thanks for his dedication and wish him all the best for his retirement.
At the same time, we welcome Ulrike Claus to Wuppermann. We are confident that Ms Claus will successfully lead the Wuppermann Group into the future thanks to her extensive experience in finance.”
“For me, finance is about much more than just numbers. It’s about building trust, taking responsibility together and making sustainable decisions in the interests of all stakeholders. I look forward to getting to know Wuppermann and working with the team to successfully develop the group further,” concludes Ulrike Claus.
