Leverkusen, 17.08.2021 - Wuppermann Hungary Kft. has commissioned a new ASC double-headed scrap chopper in the discharge area of the combined pickling and hot-dip galvanising line. ASC stands for Automatic Scrap Chopper.

Leverkusen, Germany, 24.11.2020 – The Leverkusen-based steel processor Wuppermann uses an innovative strip galvanizing process at its sites in the Netherlands and Austria that cuts CO2 emissions by up to 43 percent. A CO2 calculator on the company's website now determines how much CO2 per ton of hot-dip galvanized strip steel customers can actually save individually.
Wuppermann Staal Nederland installs energy efficient compressor/dryer to save 240,000 kWh p.a.
Wuppermann Staal Nederland has successfully completed the erection and start-up of a new compressor/dryer combi to secure the plant’s compressed air requirement for the next decade. The new compressor/dryer has been manufactured and installed by Kaeser Kompressoren and combines improved reliability with an annual power saving of 10% or 240,000 kWh, equivalent to the power consumption of 85 households.
