Wuppermann celebrates official opening of new roll forming line

Judenburg, Austria, 3/5/2023 - On 25 April 2023, the Managing Director of Wuppermann Austria GmbH (WA) Hubert Pletz officially opened the new roll forming line, which was commissioned at the end of March, together with Johannes Nonn, Spokesman of the Board of Management of Wuppermann AG, the project manager Alexander Hartleb and other representatives from the Wuppermann Group.

With a total investment of 13 million euros, the roll forming line is one of the most important acquisitions within the group of companies. As a specialist for galvanized products with the highest level of corrosion protection, Wuppermann Austria is significantly expanding its manufacturing capabilities and production capacities with this investment.

In order to be able to guarantee the quickest possible start of production, the steel processor from Styria has already hired new employees in 2022 and trained them in the professional operation of the plant. Since the demand will increase even further, additional machine operators and assistants are needed.

"Thanks also to the technological know-how of our employees, the new roll forming line produces at the highest level of technology. I would like to thank my entire team for the excellent project implementation and am pleased about the first deliveries to customers," explains Hubert Pletz, Managing Director of WA.

The new roll forming line is equipped with an automatic packaging line and an inline strip punching line. With the inline strip punching system, the steel strip can be punched in one production step before profiling. This means that the steel profiles can now be produced with individual and complex hole patterns according to customer requirements in a time- and cost-saving manner and delivered with piece-by-piece precision.

"With the new plant, we can supply our customers with complex profiles with demanding geometries, high repeatability in production, durability and the highest level of corrosion protection. Our customers from the photovoltaic industry will benefit from this," adds Johannes Nonn, spokesman for the executive board of Wuppermann AG.
