Wuppermann Staal Nederland celebrates its 25th anniversary
Wuppermann Staal Nederland B.V. (WSN) celebrated a quarter of a century of company history on 27 September 2025. The celebration was attended by 200 employees and their partners at Het Houtse Meer event venue in Den Hout. WSN managing directors Terry Flokstra and Karsten Pronk opened the event.
WSN was founded in the Netherlands in the port of Moerdijk, laying the foundation for a modern production site for wide-band galvanising and processing took place in September 2000. Production commenced in February 2001. The state-of-the-art site includes a wide strip galvanising plant for widths up to 1,550 mm with integrated strip pickling and a cold rolling facility, as well as a slitting plant with packaging lines. Wuppermann Staal Nederland's high-quality products include hot-dip galvanised wide strip and slit strip. Their production is characterised by the tightest tolerances, sophisticated surfaces and reliable corrosion protection. Since summer 2023, WSN has also been producing steel products with a significantly lower carbon footprint under the name WTopCarb.
"I have been with the company since WSN was founded and have known many of the employees from the very beginning. Together, we have built up the business with a great deal of passion, loyalty and perseverance. The strong cohesion of our workforce and our willingness to continuously develop together are what set us apart. I am very proud of our employees," explains Managing Director Terry Flokstra.
His colleague Karsten Pronk, who has been with WSN for seven years, adds: "Our 25-year success story is based on short decision-making processes and the commitment of a comparatively small but extremely efficient company. The strength to continuously develop and invest in the future gives us security and creates sustainable prospects. We would also like to thank our customers, suppliers and other business partners – together we are shaping a stable and sustainable future."
