Galvanized steel for durable shelving and storage systems

Global trade in goods with sometimes long transport routes and the expectation of reliable availability of goods by manufacturers and consumers are forcing business operators to develop well thought-out logistics concepts. These standardized, high-quality steel grades are essential for meeting the high requirements for static load-bearing capacity of modern structures, such as high-bay warehouses, pallet racks or shelving systems. Racking and storage systems for various goods are mostly erected in halls. Since they are located in such locations in an atmospherically moderately stressed environment, i.e. not exposed to weathering, the steel strip already receives sufficient corrosion protection for its entire service life from a thin zinc coating of Z140 or Z275. At the same time, resources and costs are conserved through the economical use of zinc.

As a special feature, Wuppermann also offers hot-dip galvanized steel strip with a rounded longitudinal edge.The rounded edge minimizes the risk of injury and thus also contributes to occupational safety, both in further processing and in the subsequent use of the material.
