WGalweld
With WGalweld, Wuppermann is the only manufacturer in Europe to offer a galvanized internal weld and thus the solution for the highest corrosion protection of steel tubes. The new generation of galvanized tubes is the result of an elaborate development process. The thermally applied metallic coating adheres excellently, even in the area of the weld seam, both externally and internally.
What are the advantages of the WGalweld process?
The outstanding quality feature of a galvanized steel tube produced by this process is the external and internal weld seam, which is protected against corrosion. The starting material for this is galvanized strip steel from Wuppermann with a metallic coating of zinc or zinc-magnesium in economical layer thicknesses of the customer's choice. In a spectrum from 7 to 80 µm, there is also the option of a different layer on the inside and outside in a ratio of 1:2 or vice versa - so-called differential galvanizing. The smooth and homogeneous surface of the tube shell is the perfect basis for a subsequent organic outer coating of a structural tube and a quality feature for low hydraulic pressure loss inside a media-carrying tube.
What final products can Wuppermann WGalweld tubes be used as?
Various fields of application require steel tubes with particularly high corrosion resistance. WGalweld pipes are optimally suited for extreme stress under particularly stressed environmental conditions.
All-round galvanized tubes from Wuppermann are used, for example, in traffic engineering as sign posts for traffic signs or as sprinkler tubes in fire protection systems. But there are also applications for this in other industries, especially those with the highest requirements for corrosion protection.
