Leverkusen / Frankfurt on the Main, 3 January 2018 – With the closing of the transaction on 31 December 2017 the sales of the five Wuppermann companies in Burgbernheim, Herbolzheim (both in Germany), Thalgau (Austria) and Holýšov (Czech Republic) by Lafayette Mittelstand Capital officially became effective. The sales contract was signed on 9 November 2017. The total of 600 employees of these companies were informed about the sales plans in February 2017.
"Our paths do not completely separate with the sale. We will continue business relationships with the sold companies, whether as an IT service provider, supplier or customer. Lafayette will use the name Wuppermann at least until the end of 2018, but for a maximum of two and a half years. We are convinced that the decision to sell was entrepreneurially the right step for both parties. We wish Lafayette and especially our former employees all the best and much success for the future," says Dr. C. L. Theodor Wuppermann, Spokesman of the Board of Management of Wuppermann AG.
