Which starting material is produced by Wuppermann for the automotive industry?

Wuppermann supplies galvanized and pickled slit strip made of steel grades with a high yield strength for subsequent cold forming to the automotive industry. These are micro-alloyed steels with strip thicknesses between 2 and 5 mm. To achieve the narrow thickness tolerances, the surface of the steel is levelled.

Wuppermann's tubes are characterized by the tightest dimensional tolerances for all geometries and weld seam internal scraping, which are produced for the automotive industry. In addition, the tube processing (end machining, bending, cutting, punching, stamping) is provided, which is used in specific components of certain car models.

Which final products are made from slit strip and tubes?

Our steel strip is used in various final products. These include, above all, belt securing, seat rails, various parts for the gearbox and electric motor housings. The hot-dip galvanized steel strip is also used in commercial vehicles for trailer bodies.
