Pickled Hot-Rolled Strip
THE SOURCE MATERIAL FOR COMPREHENSIVE QUALITY
Whether punched profiles or complex components — at Wuppermann almost everything starts with hot-rolled strip as the source material. As a rule, it is bought in pickled from recognized producers. If required, however, steel strip can also be pickled in our own plants, before progressing to further processing. All in all, we process around 700,000 tonnes a year. Of that, a small proportion goes to the customer as refined hot-rolled strip — cold re-rolled and edge dressed.
Ultimately, the end product will have to satisfy rigorous requirements. That is why it is vital to ensure that the source material is of the required grade. The hot-rolled strip used by Wuppermann is of a consistently high quality. It is directly galvanized and processed according to requirements, which ensures high efficiency and economy. The result — optimal surfaces, extremely low tolerances, perfect corrosion protection — is the hallmark of quality in all its facets.
