Wuppermann is winner of the Best Managed Companies Award 2022
Leverkusen, May 16, 2022 - Steel processor Wuppermann has received the Best Managed Companies Award 2022, which is presented by Deloitte Private, Credit Suisse, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Federation of German Industries (BDI). The award was ceremoniously received by the Executive Board of Wuppermann AG last Thursday in Düsseldorf.
Site number three: Wuppermann now also generates its own electricity from solar energy in Judenburg
Leverkusen, Germany, 11/05/2022 – Since May 2022, Wuppermann's production site in Judenburg, Austria, has also been generating electricity via its own photovoltaic system. The system was installed on the roof of the Wuppermann Austria GmbH (WA) hall. The investment volume was 251,000 euros. The annual electricity generation of the photovoltaic system is around 418 MWh, and the nominal output is 380 kWp.
Wuppermann Hungary supplies slit strip with rounded edges, and traverse-wound slit strip
Leverkusen / Győr, 16/03/2022 - Wuppermann Hungary Kft. (WH) now also supplies rounded and/or traverse-wound slit strip. The new traverse-winding-system was successfully commissioned at the beginning of 2022. The system is a downstream unit of the slitting line, which was already modernised at the end of 2021. With the modernisation, a new, state-of-the-art arrondising plant also went into operation.
Wuppermann in Hungary receives international energy certificate
Leverkusen / Győr, 22/02/2022 - Wuppermann Hungary Kft. has obtained the energy certificate in accordance with the requirements of the DIN EN ISO 50001:2018 standard. The certificate is the established standard for energy management, which proves that Wuppermann systematically increases energy efficiency in the company, recognises potential savings and takes appropriate measures.
Wuppermann celebrates 150th company anniversary
"Factory bought in Düsseldorf, letter follows, Theodor" - 150 years ago Heinrich Theodor Wuppermann, founding father of Wuppermann, sent this legendary dispatch to his wife Luise. With this day, the Wuppermann family became entrepreneurial. It has remained so until today.
