Annual report for the year 2022 is available
The Wuppermann Group publishes an annual report every year in which it informs about the completed financial year. In addition to the key financial figures for the Group, the annual report also contains editorial contributions: Among other things, the executive board and supervisory board reflect on the past year and provide outlooks. In addition, there are reports on each Wuppermann production site. Topics such as digitalisation, sustainability and our 150th anniversary are also part of the report. Wuppermann Austria GmbH commissions new roll forming line in Judenburg
Judenburg, Austria, 23.03.2023 - Steel processor Wuppermann Austria GmbH (WA) commissioned a new roll forming line at its Austrian site in Judenburg in March 2023. The total investment for the construction of the new plant amounts to 13 million euros. The specialist for galvanized products for the highest corrosion protection requirements is thus significantly expanding its manufacturing capabilities and production capacities.
Wuppermann expands production hall for logistics in Altmünster
Altmünster, 14.02.2023 - Wuppermann Metalltechnik GmbH (WMT), a premium manufacturer of tubes, tube and sheet metal components in Altmünster, has expanded the plant with a new hall for the logistics area of sheet metal production. The new hall was put into operation at the beginning of 2023. In order to be able to optimally load and transport the increased shipments, the new hall section was planned with its own truck access to the main road.
Wuppermann galvanizing process saves up to 54% CO2 compared to market standard
Leverkusen, 06.02.2023 - The Wuppermann Group has commissioned the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology (UMSICHT) to re-evaluate the environmental impact of the Wuppermann Group's heat-to-coat strip galvanizing process compared to the conventional cold strip galvanizing process. The study now also includes the group's most recent galvanizing plant at the Hungary site. An investigation was also carried out for the first time for the tube mills.
Wuppermann opens new competence centre for research development in hungary
The Wuppermann Group, one of the largest independent strip galvanizers in Europe, officially opened its new Research & Development Competence Centre in Győr-Gönyű, Hungary, on Monday 28 November 2022. Among other things, the new R&D competence centre is equipped with a modern scanning electron microscope and corrosion laboratory. With this, the Wuppermann Group is further expanding its expertise in the areas of metallography, micro-area analytics and corrosion analysis and simulation.
