New Head of Research and Development
Leverkusen / Győr, 13.05.2025 - Since 1 May 2025, Dipl.-Ing. Dr. mont. Thomas Angerer is the new head of the competence centre for research and development and process technology at Wuppermann in Hungary. He takes over the management from Phillip Weilguni, who is leaving the Wuppermann Group at his own request.
New management at Wuppermann
Leverkusen, 05.05.2025 - On May 1, 2025, Jasmin Niehof will join the management of Wuppermann Stahl GmbH. Ms. Niehof will assume responsibility for flat steel sales for the Wuppermann Group when she joins the company. Carl Swoboda will continue to be responsible for hot-rolled strip and zinc purchasing until his planned retirement on October 31, 2025. From November 1, 2025, Ms. Niehof will also assume responsibility for purchasing at Wuppermann Stahl GmbH. Based in Leverkusen, Ms. Niehof will report directly to Oliver Rechtsprecher, Spokesman of the Executive Board of Wuppermann AG.

Leverkusen, 25.02.2025 – The Wuppermann Group publishes an annual report every year, in which it informs about the past financial year. In addition to the key financial figures for the Group, the annual report also contains editorial contributions.
Roofing ceremony at Wuppermann in Altmünster
Altmünster / Austria, 19.02.2025 - Wuppermann Metalltechnik GmbH (WMT) celebrated its roofing ceremony on 29 January 2025. With a total investment of around 39 million euros, the specialist for precision steel tubes is building a new tube plant in Altmünster. Together with all the companies working on the construction site, the roofing ceremony was announced and the roofing ceremony tree was fastened to the roof of the new hall.
3,935 MWh of electricity from PV systems in 2024
In 2024, Wuppermann produced 3,935 MWh of electricity from solar energy. Wuppermann has been generating electricity from photovoltaic systems at all five production sites and at the Group's headquarters in Leverkusen since October 2023.
